to inform him on the same date, that the Straite Dettlements and Federated kalay Chates Governments had decided that the recalculation of pensions under their schemes would be undertaken looslly and that his services would sccordinglynot be required in that comection,

In these circumstances, I do not

consider it politic at this stage to disponse with his services in connection with the re calculation of the Hong Kong pensions,

8. Er.Young's fans for the preparation of the schedules of information required for the recalculation of pensions on the basin

of the B tables, have already been paid (vide

my unspatah No.208 of the 8th of June 1925)

No payment has however yet been wade to Fr.Young in respect of his advice on the question whether the data available in respect of the

Hong Kong scheme would be mufficient for the

purpose of a separate actuarial lovestigation inte the mortality axpariones of that scheme.
